When stored properly, the product is expected to have an 18-month shelf life (from the date of manufacture). Depending on the frequency of use, storage/handling conditions, once opened (placed into use), the product will thicken over time, eventually the product will thicken to a point where further use is impractical/impossible. Because you did not provide any background on your application technique or application conditions, it is difficult to provide a more detailed response. Harder (higher density) and/or (low surface energy) slick plastics, such as acetyl, nylon, polyethylene, polypropylene and PTFE can be more challenging to develop proper adhesion without additional surface preparation. Based on your description of the plastic you were intending to bond, you may benefit from the use of the RapidFuse Plastic Primer. As indicated on the DAP RapidFuse product literature: "Shelf Life: 18 months (from the date of manufacture)". As the product ages, it will thicken to the point of becoming difficult or impractical to apply and will likely exhibit reduced working/performance properties.
