Trackball is better for most users.
Unless you are going to use the programmable features, the trackball is far superior. The MX 4 USB-A connection required a converter. That was an unexpected delay/headache. After using the trackball, this mouse is a downgrade for me.

better and worse
the mouse is still almost perfect. the side scroll is much better and I love that the screws are no longer under the skates. but im not a fan of the gesture button placement, as i keep accidentally pressing it. and it is also a bit heavier and without the old rubber surface, making it very hard to pick up (which I do).

Great to Level Up from MX Master 3
The MX Master 3 was a daily driver since 2020. The 4 has a better mouse casing (no rubber, easier to clean). It also has superior software accompaniment allowing you to customize the buttons. Only the size of it
Everything in the mouse is fantastic except the size. For me, the size is big. I can barely reach the scroll up. Worth the upgrade!!
Excellent production mouse I am a drafting student and this mouse makes drafting seem like I have a video game controller with multiple programmable buttons and the new haptic thumb button is something every student should try!!

Solid Mouse
I like it almost as much as my MX 3. My only complaint is that it's a little harder to pick up and move because the sides are not as deep and the rubber coating isn't as grippy. It does seem that adjusting the volume with the thumb roller is working much better though.

3 is better.

A def upgrade from the Master 3S
I love this mouse. I was hesitant to upgrade bc the 3S is already good but some differences here are the added button for better multitasking and the charge light is not as crazy bright as the 3S which would sometimes bother me at night bc I have my office setup in the same room.
