Super easy to setup. Performance is great so far.
Replaced an older Nighthawk router that’s been trustworthy after several years after getting a new laptop with 6E support. Setup to replace the existing router couldn’t have been easier. Stay away
I had the previous model and it worked without a twitch for years. I just got this a couple of weeks ago and it continues to disconnect and have issues. Stay away.

Fantastic router
The increase in my speed was stunning. I now get my full 1GB feed and I couldn’t be more satisfied. Oddly, the system fails, but I’m going to try removing the automatic assignment of speeds.

Effortless Performance
The title is a great start. This router makes performance look EFFORTLESS! I wish I could attach a screenshot. My ISP provided WiFi 7 router (Sp****um) would only give me speeds of 400-600 Mbps while paying for a gig. My RS500 effortlessly gives me 1090 Mbps! Easy setup working well but beware of auto enroll
I setup this new router in about an hour. Turned out to be quite easy. I then repurposed my old NetGear router as an access point to extend wireless capability around my home. Super easy set up

So easy to set up
My previous router was not up to date to I purchased the RS500. It was SUPER EASY to set up - only took about 15 minutes total. Working great and all of my deviced are protected!

Best router to buy!
This is a top tier router you can count on. My previous router was a NETGEAR Nighthawk. We had to for 8 yrs and the only reason we replaced it was it wouldn't work with the newer tech that is available now for fiber. We moved it to home.

difficult
It was difficult to set up. Downloaded app; began the process by unplugging old router. But without internet, how can use the app? No printed instructions; the device just didn't go. 3 hours later, I had a work around using my laptop & cellphone.
It seemed that the first priority of the set up instructions was to sell a subscription.

Not as expected
Set up the router and my Verizon Fios TV immediately stopped working. Have the “VMS unreachable” error. Found a workaround but the signal strength is not as good as the old one. Thinking of returning the unit if I can’t get some improvement.

Exceeds expectations
Seamless integration as a replacement for 7 year old Nighthawk 5 series. So powerful we are still able to wifi call from our phones from our neighbor's house across the street. Fantastic perfomance!
