State of the art
The router is outstanding. Extremely easy install using the Netgear app. The unit is fast, uploads are fast and downloads are extreme. Great performance on streaming. This unit is worth every penny you will pay for it, this is a "must" have router. Get it!

First off, I’m not one for change. But when I received notice my older Netgear router was at end of Svc, well, I went shopping. The first one was not strong enough coverage. It's not difficult.
I'll admit that I was nervous about installation until I was done. Watch the install video and pay attention to the details. It'll save a lot of headaches. I did and installation only took the estimated time that the app projected.

Easy to setup with Nighthawk App.
Using the Nighthawk App made the installation relatively easy. The only minor issue was having to reboot the internet modem two times to get it connected to the router.

Good Replacement For My AX12
Decided to replace the AX12 after finding out it would no longer receive support.

New NETGEAR router just screams!
Easy installation for this new RS500 router. Took the manual advanced setup to make the settings of my old router. Once the software was updated and a restart, the router connected perfectly to all my devices. So easy! (Although I had prepped for this extensively). I also noticed a strong WiFi range around the outside of my house. Happy with this upgrade!

Easy to setup, great coverage!
Downloaded the app, set the router up in now time at all! It has great coverage too. My old router wouldn't cover very well at the far ends of the house, this new Nighthawk has no issues at all!

Okay router that was sorta of a downgrade
This newer router was supposedly the equivalent of my older model. I don't see how. I feel as though this was a downgrade. It doesn't have a 5G function and I've noticed my internet speeds have significantly slowed since this once was installed. Thank god I travel for work and don't have to deal with this much. Almost too advanced!!!
I purchased this router to pair along side a new Hitron CODA 4060 modem, with it I have been able to increate my download speed by more than 5x. I am currently at 2.3 Gbps. My only issue, is that security protocol is too advanced for many older electronics to take full advantage of the tri-band. I would purchase again.
