Better than google maps
I’m quite pleased in the difference of using the Garmin. The routing is so much easier to understand. No last minute “turn here”

Almost perfect
Since this is an RV model, I expected it to be perfectly designed to fully support RV navigation challenges. It missed the mark by providing a choice in “Avoidances” for tunnels. Most RV travelers have compressed gas (propane) tanks on board that may be restricted.

Response from Staples :
Thanks for taking the time to write this review, JLMAC! The RVcam 795 does support adding propane info, which will help route away from roads that prohibit vehicles carrying portable propane tanks. For information on setting that up, use the following link to the Garmin Support Center article: http://ms.spr.ly/6422s15Gi ^DK

Not for a Class A
Garmin makes a great product and their reliability is fantastic. But I returned the RVcam 795 because it just didn't work for my Class A application. The mount is limited to windshield use only to not obstruct the camera and that places the screen and functional buttons 3-4 feet from the Driver. As a result the screen is too far away, as are all of the controls. Thi...

Great unit
This was an upgrade from my previous Garmin RV GPS. Garmin did very nice job of adding features. Works great with no problems.

Great features, easy-to-use
Currently on first road trip with the RVcam 795. Bright clear screen, louder than my phone. Clear lane instructions. Wish it displayed current time. And be aware, the RVcam only mounts from above/over head. If mounted from dash, camera is obstructed because it is not possible to flip the screen image.

RVcam 795
I bought this to assist me with trip from Jacksonville, FL to Orlando FL to attend a Veterans Conference with an Organization by the name of the 'Forty & Eight', which traces it's start to WWI! The 40&8 Honor Society of Veterans uses the WWI Box Car as it's logo as those small railroad boxcars were used because they had the numbers; 40/8 posted near the doors, which sig...

Overall very happy with this gps.
Very happy with this gps and dashcam. A couple of minor things are I wish it showed arrival time instead of miles to destination. In the upcoming city’s would be nice to show the exit number. This is only our second trip with the unit still a lot to explore.

over all a good unit
Had this for a couple of months and its a nice GPS. Every so often it loses its mind and literally forgets where it is. Yes, I just said that. you have to re set it and then it works fine for a while. Also, sometimes the sound stops working and again you have to re boot the unit. these are some aggravating things it does, but over all its good enough to put up with the ...

RVcam 795 NOT for RV's
Like the title says, the RVcam 795 is not for all RV's. The mount only accommodates angled windshields such as in cars, some vans, and perhaps some class A's. Its hanging down design, meant for the dash cam part simply will not work with the more vertical windshields found on Class A motorhomes and the like. The simple solution would have been to allow the unit to auto-...
