not what i expected
this watch constantly blinks a red light. it’s very irritating and i will not wear it. I went through the look up prompts and was not able to stop the issue. if you don’t mind the red flashing light all the time on your wrist then it’s ok but it’s not for me. I’m not a christmas tree.

Too complicated
I bought this a month ago after I had problems changing the battery on my Vivofit 4. I was told that the Vivofit 4 was no longer available ( by Garmin).
I liked the 4, because it was basic and had everything I need. The 5 is more complicated and has a lot more features than I want.
I also liked the fact that I could replace the old battery and not worry about it fo...

Vivo 5 is not user friendly
I have no idea how many possible settings there are for this vivosmart 5. It seems there are at least 100 possibilities and because the selection or adjustment menu does not work some of the time, the process is quite frustrating. I followed instruction to choose a larger font so I could read what my options were but never was able to get to the font adjustment screen....

Connectivity
I got my Garmin watch around the end of November. I constantly have pair it to my phone. This is pain and it gets on my nerves. Other than that it's fine.

Expected it to be a better upgrade from my Fitbit
I got this watch a month ago. I am very disappointed with it. Despite changing it, It always runs out of charge when I need it most. I’m assuming it’s defective. Disappointing

Great for what I want
I got this for Christmas. I am not a watch wearer. I wanted something simple and small to track steps and all that stuff. I had an older version. A couple things I miss from the old one, this one doesn't track stairs climbed. It also doesn't have its own GPS. You have to use the GPS from your phone if you want it to track miles and such. Otherwise, it is great. ...

Recommending
I was happy with my 4.0 model this passed year so I upgraded to this model and I am impressed. Still getting accustomed to new features and am thrilled that the older features are still available as is.

Bike hit a Tree!
Replaced my FitB*** a year ago. Love ALL Garmin products. Crashed into a tree and the little black watch was ripped out of the band. Could not replace it soon enough. I'm 66 and retired and this watch has me in the best shape ever! Thank You!

Nice addition to my life
I was offered this through my insurance, and really accepted it and have written it every day since I received it.
My wife and I are using them to help keep us motivated by primarily tracking our steps, and by receiving notifications.
It has replaced my traditional wrist watch, and my older smartwatch.

Nice device
I bought this so keep track of sleep, heart rate and oxygen levels. The app is limited with accessing data.
Works good, but heart rate limit alert doesn't work regularly. I have it set for 120, but my heart rate has gone up to 135+ and I never received an alert.

Biggest piece of junk I’ve ever purchased
Pretty much only good for registering steps to get my insurance premium cheaper. That’s literally it. Every other feature on this piece of junk is completely inaccurate. The readings for sleep make absolutely no sense. The readings for heart rate during workouts, terrible. The app blows.

Upgraded to Vivosmart 5
It was time to update/upgrade from the Vivosmart 4 to the vivosmart 5. I like the newer watch, however for the same size, it’s just a tad larger overall. Wish it still had the stairs option but did gain a few other features. I’ve had a Garmin watch for maybe 8-9 years, looked at other watches but other brands where just much larger face watch size which I did not car...

It's okay
It keeps up with my steps on regular frequency but some other features go in and out. Just have to go through the steps to reset them.

Good health monitoring features
I was looking for a watch that I could use primarily for monitoring aspects of my health rather than training for an athletic endeavor. While this watch can serve some of both purposes, it performs well for my primary purpose alone. Being able to turn off certain functions to extend battery life is a good feature.

shutdown
I have had this useless watch for over one year. It frustratingly disconnects from the app all too often, and I have to do a complete reconnect. This is difficult as the watch fails to display the necessary links to do so. Garmin records would indicate I have purchased many of these watches because I have to register it as a new watch everything to get it working again...
