Barimetric Altimeter was removed
I have a Vivoactive 4 and felt the Vivoactive 5 would be an upgrade with a longer lasting battery. I went skiing with it the first day and saw that it did not keep track of runs. On further investigation I found out it does not have an altimeter like the 4 has so it is useless to me for skiing and biking. I returned it. In the future I would recommend to Garmin that...

I HATE this watch!
There's a code I can hardly read and is even harder to enter in order to log into some of the features. The watch face is hard to read, and the date isn't on the main face. My last watch was a forerunner, and I loved it, but the band broke in a way that can't be fixed.

No more altimeter :(
I have been wearing a vivo since the 3, and was excited to get this “upgrade” to a 5. The bright display is great, yep. Great Features
I bought this about 3 weeks ago and I am glad I did. I owned a Garmin before. I had it several years and it stopped working. I tried a cheaper brand which was awful, so I switched back to Garmin. Great watch!
I've had my Vivoactive 5 for a few years now and it's one of the best investments l could make to keep track of my health. It's inexpensive, light, and not bulky. It's streamline shape and size fits perfectly for my needs.

Very happy with the Vivoactive 5. Had a Venu Sq prior so everything connected quickly. The sq watch face seemed to fit my wrist a little better. Thanks for continuing to make an affordable quality product.

works in pool
It is easy to use but does need to be charged daily. Also would be nice if the time was listed in hours and minutes not by just hands. Does work in the pool while a teach a water fitness class.

Needs improvement
Dont know why phone is connected and disconnected 3 inches from phone multiple times during. An hour. Can reply to things after phone sends it. Why can't i message someone from watch all the time? No audio, just buzz.

Terrible SW update experiences
Love my watch when it works. However, EVERY time there is a software update then the battery life goes from 9 days to less than a day. The only way I've been able to figure out how to fix it is to factory reset the watch, uninstall the app from my phone and then set everything up over again. Not bad
Not as user friendly as other devices I've owned. I had to set the time for sleep; if I go to bed earlier or later, it doesn't seem to detect that. Has a lot of features but can't seem to sync usage. Admittedly some of this may be user error.

Best decision I’ve made leaving Apple
So happy that I decided to buy this watch. It does everything I hoped it would and then some. The Fitness tracking, Golf, sleep and the battery life is phenomenal. Highly recommend.

Terrible
Terrible watch. Does not keep a charge really want my money back. Apps are not correct. Does not catch a true depiction of my sleep or body. False advertising/ cheaply made and extremely disappointed
