All around great working watch.
My instinct 2 was replaced by the instinct 3 because the solar feature continued to not work properly. Since the replacement the watch works much better than the instinct 2. The solar feature really works in the instinct 3 watch.

Not for me
Way to difficult to operate...i opted for the 570 Forerunner instead... much more intuitive

Great Product and a Long Battery life
I bought this 2 weeks ago and I have had the need to charge it since I charged it for the first time, 2 weeks of use and it still says I have 10 days of battery. I am very please with the quality of the watch and the features the watch has for sports tracking

Good battery, minimal distractions
I bought this a few weeks ago because I was tired of my apple watch constantly needing to be charged every two days. I am also a fan that this is not a touch screen watch. Less distractions while I am working out and moving around. The torch on the watch is amazing! I love having that feature available to me. It is super useful when moving around in the dark. I feel lik...

Beefy watch
It’s super great and I love the flashlight. It has all the bells and whistles. However, it was too bulky for me. I wish there was a smaller version. I got the Instinct E

What a great watch!
Bought this I3 about month ago, 3/15/26 at time of this review. This watch is amazing. From a smartwatch perspective, I'm coming from a Samsung Galaxy watch 5 Pro, which is packed with features itself. I am thoroughly impressed with the functionality and battery life. Battery life is not comparable with the Samsung, which at best gets about 2 days. With the Instinct 3 I...

Garmin Instinct 3 Solar
I have been wanting one of the Garmin solar watches for a few years now. I finally got one. The Instinct 3 solar. I am very happy with it. I have yet to charge it since I received it. It is very comfortable and also accurate with all the health tracking. Also, I like the smart watch capabilities without all the fancy things some other watches have such as the led touch ...

Good watch, ok app
Back to Garmin after a few years with Suunto - which I think still has a superior mobile platform; Garmin Connect still has a lot of catching up to do. Tthe actual watch itself is great. I used an original Instinct 1 for about three years and the Instinct 3 Solar has fixed all of the shortcomings of the Instinct 1, with the added benefit of the torch and updated hardwar...

The essentials and more
It does everything I want, and much more! In my opinion there is absolutely no need for a fancier watch than this.

Comfortable watch with great features
Now had the watch for ~3 weeks and am pleased with it thus far. Lots of great features, easily tracked a couple of cross-country and downhill ski sessions. Some of the controls took a bit of working out. The one thing I did not fully twig to was, despite the amount of memory in the watch, it cannot store/play music files - it can control music playing from a phone, but ...

Great Features but setting it up is not easy
I bought this close to a month ago. Works great in monitoring bit when I workout out. It's difficult because it's a manual process to put the sets in and spend too much time. Changing from set to set and exercise to exercise. My fitbit was alot easier to set up when working with weights.

Overall OK
This watch was purchased as a replacement for an Instinct 2, neither one would track an accurate pulse rate. I can exercise for 30 to 60 minutes, and the pulse rate stays in the 60s to 70s. I move the watch around anyplace it would move on my wrist with no improvement. If I stop exercising for a few minutes or change activities, the pulse rate would improve close to ...

Works great
Changed from Apple Watch to a 45 mm version. Much more simple interface and keeps the grandkids off the watch. It was too easy for them to touch and changes things and was distracting for me. The Garmin interfaces much better with the apps I use and is better at tracking multiple activities. Doesn’t work great for cycling heart rate but is ok in a pinch.

So far ... great
I've had my watch for 3 weeks now. I have very small wrists and I was worried about what it looked like on my wrist. It does look large however it is as light or lighter than my Fitbit Sense2 which started dying and needed replaced. It is very comfortable to wear all day long. My worries about that work quickly negated. I am a hiker and I liked the idea of the map featu...

Well rounded
Got this watch for Christmas and couldn’t be happier with it. Very robust for the type of outdoor work I do, screen is very scratch resistant. It replaced my venu 3 which I loved but it did not stand well to what I put it through compared to the instinct. Watch is very functional without much fodder and the solar charging keeps the battery going a long time. Definitely ...
