Great lens for travel photography

I'm really happy with this lens. I bought it to use on my Cannon EOS Rebel SL1 to take portraits and shoot architecture when I'm traveling. So far it's been great - the images are sharp and it takes up almost not space in my bag.

Tiny, light, and versatile!

I bought the EF-S 24mm f/2.8 STM in November of 2023 as a 35-40mm equivalent prime for Canon's APS-C crop and it's actually surprisingly pretty good! The size of this lens is so small, you could fit it in your pocket. Once it's mounted to your camera, it basically feels like you don't even have a lens on it, its quite nice for keeping your setup extremely light.

Try It, You'll Like It!

I wasn't sure about this lens at first but once I had a chance to play around with it I saw just how useful it could be. There's no more, "OK, everyone get in close for the picture." Obviously it's amazing for landscapes as well. Pictures are tack sharp. I'm looking forward to make photographic experiments!

good but wide

got this specifically to take workout videos. once i figured out all the settings, it works like a charm. only con is it films in wide screen, so i can see on the camera a full screen, but some of that is cut off

LESS is MORE

WOW - great simple little lens for learning and teaching photography - I just started using use it with an old Rebel T4, and it like makes it into a new professional camera again! Light-weight, affordable, sharp, with great definition (even tough condition like at 1/60, ISO100, f2.8 indoors on my moving children - came out beautifully!) Outdoor photos were surprising me...

EF-S 24 f/2.8 My Collection

The EF-S 24 f/2.8 STM is a wonderful addition to my lens collection. On location for live events it is perfect for getting the shots I need. I use it for both still shots and video interviews.

Excellent travel lens

I received the 24mm for Christmas last year from my daughter. I have several lens but this is now my go to lens paired with my Canon T6i. I used this lens on two different trips this year. It has sharpness and takes an excellent shot, day or night!

First timer

I purchased this lens after purchasing a 50mm stm lens. My intention was to use the 50 as my all-around lens; however, This 24mm stm lens may become my ‘go-to’ lens for, mainly, family events and functions. This lens fits the EOS 77D (white dot vs. red dot).

Very pleased with it

While I haven't spent a ton of time with this lens yet, I've already taken some of the best photos I ever have with it. It's easily my favorite lens between my T2i kit and telephoto. I'm impressed with it and feel fortunate to work with it.

Worth every penny and then some.

Nice compact lens which takes excellent night sky images, wide angle landscape photos, and is ideal for photographing architecture and people gatherings. Don’t let the inexpensive price fool you! It’s a very good lens for the money!
