Floortex Ecotex Chair Mat
I recommend this product because I live in a seventy year old house with the original hardwood floors and this chair mat in my office is stylish in looks and fully functional; it protects the beauty of my floors while allowing me to roll my office chairs over the floors without inflicting damage.

Not good on hard wood
This particular product says it is for hard wood floors. It doesn't work. It moves with the chair, rather then allowing the chair to roll over it. When you stand up, it slips under your weight and you feel like you are going to fall. This happened to me and another person who sat at my desk. Returning it.

Chair/Floor Mat
I bought the smaller one this time and it works just fine. It's smoother than the old one I had but I don't notice any difference in using this one. Comparing the one that was opaque and had an uneven surface on the bottom to this smooth bottom, they are both good.

Perfect mat for my purposes
This floortext mat fits perfectly in the space I needed it for, under my swivel desk chair. The wheels on the chair could have damaged the hardwood floors, but the mat is now protecting that from happening.
