Bad purchase
My two pencils arrived promptly after my in-store purchase packed in a box the size of a microwave. This is ridiculous irresponsible and a waste of resources. A padded envelope…or even just having the item available in-store would be better for STAPLES’ bottom line not offend the customer and lower STAPLES’ carbon footprint. Lazy management.

Great product
I've been using these pencils for years. Thus the reason I just bought 4 more. Also I was out of lead of the size they use so I bought a package of those as well. I've had problems with the rubber grip deteriorating. I think it might be due to oil on my fingers from eating potato chips. It is unclear whether the new ones I just bought are using a different material...

Best Mechanical Pencil
I have been using these pencils for over 10 years and they are the best around. To get extra lead all you have to do is click the side button. No having to use the eraser and mistakenly clicking out more lead that's not needed. Best pencil around.

Same AWESOME pencil!
I’ve used this model of the Pentel since the 1980s. They work as good or better now. You can’t beat them! They just plain work and are comfortable to use. Buy it! You won’t be disappointed!

great for wood work
Recently started learning woodwork. End up marking wood to know where to cut. This has a nice narrow point that makes it easy to figure out where to cut.

Best mechanical pencil I've ever used.
I've been using these since I was literally 15 30 years ago. They haven't changed in quality they're incredible And in all that time I have only worn one out once. They lasted so long. I would lose them before they broke. Absolutely! Do recommend.

Amazing Pencils
If you like fine print and love to write small then this is for you. I love the function of this mechanical pencil. I have tried several others that are a little less costly but I always go back to these. They are worth the cost for sure.

Great feeling pencil
This pencil fits my hand and I like prefer and look for the ability to advance the lead with a clicker on the barrel. The rubber grip however will break down over time and become sticky and misshapen. It will then slide off the barrel. The grip needs to be tougher or held in place better.
