did not receive correct item

stackable yes, securely stackable - no.
because of the way these stack, if you put any kind of weight or pressure on the front lip, they tip forward and become detached from each other.

Flimsy
The sides aren't strong enough to support much weight like bottled drinks or canned food. Stack two and the top one falls into the lower bin. I guess it is an iffy thing if bins can both nest and stack. The "legs" for stacking are very thin and narrow and the receiving end is too big so the top bin slides out and down. If they can't be stacked they aren't saving any...
