Poor Design
The directions tell you to place the unit face-down to hammer in the thin cardboard backing. When you do this, because the unit is not a flat shape but rather angled, the top part pulls away from the bottom because there's too much stress on the cheapo bolts that hold the wood pieces together. Overall, it's not a horrible unit but I don't recommend it, I'd buy a more so...

Great looking
Although the parts are not labeled, they are easily identified by the assembly drawings. Very simple to put together and it really looks great! One caution: Be very careful to get the backing nails in the CENTER of the "wood" side pieces. If not, they tend to split off bits of the pressboard or bend and come through into the interior.

Nice and sturdy
Bookcases were easy to put together. They were sturdy and nice looking. Cool design with the slant. I did not like the backing. It is cheap cardboard type wood look that is folded when it comes and the fold never goes away. You can see it that it was folded. Should be one piece.
