Turned old cabinets to almost new
I just rented an apartment in a very old building. They remodeled and replaced everything but the cabinets. New floor back splash baseboards. Countertops stove etc. The cabinets though were rough to say the least. So it actually brought down the look of the kitchen. Cabinets Are natural wood but had been neglected iver the years. So i bought murphys oil soap and went to...

CHANGED FORMULA!! BEWARE!
I've used Murphy's Oil Soap for 35 years…then bought a new bottle in January 2022 and the company has changed the formula!!! They have added citronella and I'm allergic to it. It made my entire house smell like wet metal! I am so disappointed that the formula has been changed! I don't know who thought it would be a good idea to change a formula that has been popular for...

Horrible mess was created by using Murphy's
I have oak hardwood floors that were stained and then finished with polyurethane. I changed the person who was cleaning my home and the new person used Murphy's on my floors 3 or 4 times before I realized that the floors were loosing their shine and getting a bit sticky. While Murphy's never admitted that their product would cause that, after looking into it I found a t...

They ruined a great product.
I used to love this product and would recommend it to friends and family. I don't know why they changed the formula, but it's horrible now.

Should I Stay or Should I Go?
Ugh! I don't know whether to buy this now! I too was a big fan of the 'original' Murphy's Oil Soap but over the years got away from using it. Now I have a reason to come back to my tried and true orange spray and oil soap, but after reading all these recent negative reviews, I don't know whether to just pass and look for something new. I'm sorry that you changed the lon...

Please bring back the old formula.
Back in the 1990's I would mix liquid Murphy oil soap with turpentine to clean my oil paint brushes. Mixing the liquid soap with turpentine would generate a thick paste that could clean the gunk off of most anything. I have never been able to make it since then; coincidentally that was when colgate-palmolive took over and changed the formula. I recently tried it again, ...

Murphy's oil soap is no longer a good product.
I've been using Murphy's oil soap for 25 years. I used the paste. The liquid was not as effective for my purposes. The last bottle I bought was definitely not the same product I'd used for years. Instead of conditioning the wood and leather, it dried them out. Why would you change a product that had such a good following and great recommendations? I won't be buying it a...

Pretty Good
I just bought a bottle labeled Murphy concentrated Wood Cleaner. It seems to work for cleaning furniture but not as thick as it used to be. I like the delicate scent. 32oz bottle should last for many years!!

Not the same product---VERY POOR REPLACEMENT
I like the original product better. Completely different mixture, texture and scent. Very disappointed in whatever you did to change this product. Used to leave my wood glowing;.now it's just a drab mess. I had to use the 2 other cleaners to get the drab slime film off of my table that was left by your product.
You were very dishonest in pretending and marketing that t...

Not the same
I’m so disappointed. Murphys Oil Soap has been my go to cleaner for over 30 years. I ran out and went to the store to get a new bottle and was a little confused when I saw that the labeling had changed. But that’s not the only thing that has changed. It does not work as well and does not smell as good as the original product. In this world, there is so very little that ...

What happened
When you read all the positive reviews, it appears most of the reviews are for the formula before the new formula, which was a great product. The new formula is not so great. They changed the smell. It doesn’t bring back nostalgic memories. How can it? The new smell has only been around for a few years. I miss the old formula without the citronella. I loved cleaning wit...

Not the original.
This is not the original. It is chemically different and certainly not what I need or want. You might have well branded it "New Murphy's Oil Soap". It worked so well for Coke.

Not particularly happy with this formula
I have to agree with the other reports of this product, not cleaning as well and not leaving the luster that he used to. I do hope you consider reverting back to the original formula. I would think you’d be putting customer satisfaction over profits.

Product change.
Used the product for many years and loved it, removed black grease without using much. For some reason the product was changed, it's watery now, used to be thick like honey. Dissappointed.

Not the same, sadly
Trying desperately to find the original oil soap and having zero luck. I came here and it seems like others are equally disappointed in what appears to be a new formula. I use it to remove acrylic paint from stencils, etc. and this new formula doesn’t work AT ALL. Please bring back your original formula or let us have a choice in which formula we purchase,

So sad. Please bring back the old formula.
Why did you change the formula? Murphy’s has been my miracle maker when it came to dried, set in stains in our clothes. It got out everything! Now… it does nothing, but make my clothes smell like the product. I had to wash a load of our best clothes five times to try and get the smell out. Worst of all, it still did not remove the stains. I’m so sad.
