That is a quote from the current manual for this product. It does NOT say do this every week as one of the reviewers stated.

Destroys documents
Most of these positive reviews appear to be fake and are just repeating Honeywell's marketing material.
This "safe" has a major problem with moisture build-up and mold. It destroyed 2 passports and a marriage license.

I had searched “far and wide” (online) for a fireproof safe for legal-size documents. Some were fabric (supposedly fireproof), but I didn’t trust that it would work, so I decided on this hard case. Quality! My confidence is high.
While not extremely large, which is fine for the amount of documents and items we are trying to secure, it's definitely high quality. The carrying handle is convenient, from both a storing perspective, and the ability to grab and go the safe in the event of an emergency. A great necessary purchase.

Fireproof chest
Too bid, too heavy but more significantly it is not supposed to be stored on its side, making it impossible to discreetly hide, and it is supposed to be opened weekly to prevent moisture buildup. Looking to protect valuables from fire, not add to my weekly tasks of things to do.

Looks good except latches
The unit appears substantial and should survive even a major fire or flood event if it lives up to its stated ratings for fire and water resistance. The weak point is the latches that secure the lid to the bottom - they are plastic so will undoubtedly melt in a fire. Hopefully the lock will maintain a seal anyway but those latches should be sturdy metal not plastic.

Not a large as expected but worked after reducing my content
This is the first time that I’ve ever used a Honeywell product, always used Sentry. It is a very sturdy and heavy product, but from the box, I was unable to determine for sure whether all of my current Safe content would fit.
