Exactly what we needed!
This adapter/hub was EXACTLY what we needed for a new computer that only has 2 Thunderbolt port, but uses peripherals that have older USB connectors.
The ethernet port is perfect - the plug went right in.
Set up and use have been seamless.

Cannot recommend
I had to spend a lot of time downloading a driver for it and then it still didn't work. Had to return it.

Works Fine
Does what it says, reliably, with no problems. Well built, looks sturdy, no reason to expect physical failure. Only downside is that driver installation is necessary, otherwise it does nothing.

It did not do what I wanted it to
My goal was to hardwire an HP printer to a TMobile 5G I törnet gateway router. This did not work. Printer still undiscovered. I know this is complex stuff, but there were no experts in the store to guide me.

Adapter just what was needed for our printer to work. Thank you. Changed from T Mobile to Spectrum, but Spectrum failed to let us know that now an adapter would be needed for our printer to work. Staples has always provided us with needed products over the years. So appreciated.

J5Create USB-C Hub with Ethernet Adapter
Easy to set up and use. This hub lets me use my printer with my laptop (only has USB-C ports) running Windows 11. Just be sure to download and install the ethernet driver before connecting the hub to your laptop.

Had problems with printer on ethernet connection. Printer had been on ethernet only, J5 adapter could not "find" the printer, yet printer vendor software showed it installed. Returned item and used wireless network for printer.

High throughput networking!
While using this adapter to make large data transfers over a local area network, it was noticeably quicker than the internal network port on my laptop, with increased transfer speeds of between 10 -25 MBs!!! The packaging doesn't even mention the advanced networking features the chipset inside offers, such as enhanced large packet support and kernel level packet offload...

powerless
This adaptor has a 5v power port. There is nothing in the tiny manual that says what the port powers. When I got it home I discovered that it is not powering anything, not the USB ports, not the Ethernet. Useless.
