The cashier was so helpful and a gentleman named Joe was as well. I had bought an engineering scale by mistake in a staples in Jenison, Michigan exchanged it, without a receipt even, at the store in Holland, Michigan. These two folks were very helpful and I got the scale I needed.

One-time use only
This is a very cheaply made piece of plastic. It needs to be totally protected at all times. It will not survive contact with anything else in your briefcase or desk drawer. The fragile edges will chip and the markings will wear off, just from your fingers. Wash your hands of all skin oil and hand lotion, and it might last a little longer. I Bought Them & Donated Them to H.S. Students
I bought these and donated them to a local high school for use in an Ag. Mechanics class. So I really don't have any first-hand experience with the product, other than I have a number of other scales, none of them Staedtler Mars, that I have used for years. If I had had the nerve to ask, I would like to have asked for a discount because I was donating them to students.
