Exactly as we hoped
Our office began using and adjustable standing desk to relieve back strain from sitting, but then noticed a different strain on knees, etc. from standing. A physical therapist friend suggested an anti-fatigue mat like cooks in kitchens use, and this was the thickest one we could find at Staples that was sized for a desk as opposed to a longer work station.

Felt just as hard as standing on the floor
Everybody in the office stepped on this and felt it with their hands and immediately commented that it is a raised hard surface that offered no cushion. This puzzled us for what is to be an anti-fatigue mat. We are returning it for a mat with more cushion like the other one in our office.

The Andersen Company Hog Heaven™ Marble Top 5/8, #10 Midnight, 2X3.
A great anti fatigue mat! Love the cushion thickness and it is easy to move around when I am needing to roll my chair up to the desk when sitting down.

Mat too stiff...I returned it...
Mat was too stiff to even unroll.. I returned the mat.
