defective
used for one print and then printer "did not recognize" the ink cartridge. Reinstalled and shook multiple times with no fixing the problem.

The genuine article
I purchased this ink for an Epson R3000 photo printer which is a fairly pricey printer. It makes no sense to use anything but the genuine article in a printer of this quaility just to save a few pennies.

Excellent Black Ink
The Epson inks are expensive, but how I wish the printers were free because in two years I have paid in inks costs the price of my Epson Photo R3000 printer. The printer is excellent and I would not think of buying a knock off brand on ink. Epson knows this, but Epson ink sales are infrequent, At least the sales are not when I need to buy.
