Love the box! The size and the fact that it locks are important factors. The plastic money tray inside had two pieces broken off. This will not affect its usefulness.

Money box / valuables box
Fits into the file drawer and other drawers of my steelcase desk. Locking mechanism is inside case. Has "kensington" slot to allow locking with laptop security cable. Feels more substantial than a "tin" box. Removable plastic coin/cash holder. Pretty thin be aware some things might not fit.

No Latch Without the Key
Since I keep my cash box inside a locked drawer when not in use a latch is more important than the lock. This cash box doesn't have any way to keep it from opening unless it is locked and to me that's a disaster waiting to happen. You would have to keep the key in it most of the time to ensure it is locked any time you move it. Otherwise accidentally tip it too much ...

It does the job
I purchased this for the slim design so it wouldn't take up as much room in the bag when bringing it to events. With multiple people handling it I find the need for the key to keep it closed unless you keep it flat when carrying cumbersome. In a lot of cases you do not want to worry about losing a key and a simple added clip to keep it close without locking could have m...

It is great to keep all your valuables such as any documents memory cards/sticks cash flow secrets and etc. but just not a bundle of papers. Removable cash drawer fits excellent inside that it does not make noise while in movement. Just that coin makes noise. Only if they could add a compartment on removable drawer that has lid to parent any noise from coin or jewel...
