The instructions are terrible. I can't connect the cable to the battery.

Great Product
For over 20 years I have been using APC UPS Units to protect my PC's for the Home Office. They typically last about 5 years although the last one only lasted 3-1/2 years.

Back up of computer system and internet connection

Worth the Investment
The surge protection plus battery back-up gives me confidence to protect my valuable electronic equipment in my home office. I currently have 2 laptops monitor wi-fi printer and extras all protected in case of power failure in my area. I'm really happy with the easy access battery compartment so that I can replace the battery as needed. Excellent for my needs.

APC 650 Upgrade
Replaced APC 550 with new 650. New unit is Energy Star compliant provides slightly longer battery running time. Both units havd 8 receptacle plugs.
