Did not perform as advertised
I bought this thinking it would last longer than the smaller cartridge. I got less than 30 printed pages. Office Jet Pro 8500 constantly is cleaning the printheads, etc. using up ink as if it were water.

Great Printer and Ink
I've had many printers and many suppliers of ink. These cartridges are great. They are long lasting, easy to install and always work well. My only concern is that I will someday have to move do a different printer and that the next printer and ink cartridges won't be as good.

Here's the problem with this ink pack. For the price of it, you could get whatever printer they are running a special on that comes with the starter ink package. So what is one to do? Staples price is always competitive and getting rewards for turning in old ink cartridges adds to the value. HP is the best ink I have found to use and much better than any refill I've tried.

I have been using the combo 4/pack by HP for several years and it works out perfect for my use. I do have to buy a single black before I buy another combo pack, as I use a lot of black, before I have to buy another combo pack. The XL are definitely work buying, they do last much longer.

INK - A Necessary Evil
Ink is never better than the printer it is used in. The HP Officejet Pro 8500 is an awesome printer and uses very little of this precious fluid.
