Did not perform as advertised
I bought this thinking it would last longer than the smaller cartridge. I got less than 30 printed pages. Office Jet Pro 8500 constantly is cleaning the printheads, etc. using up ink as if it were water.

Just in the "ink" of time!
Because of the rewards system, this ink is a good buy, Just about always, have a reward coupon to use with my next purchase.

I BOUGHT AN XL BLACK CARTRIDGE MONTHS AGO IN STAPLES FOR THE FIRST TIME....AND FOUND IT TO BE A REAL WORK HORSE. AS A RESULT I DECIDED TO ONLY USE XL CARTRIDGES FROM NOW ON BECAUSE WE HAVE A BUSY OFFICE AND DON'T WANT TO BE CONSTANTLY CHANGING INK CARTRIDGES.

I just went to great lengths to keep it in use so
yes - I want these great 940 cartridges. And we all know that we need a LOT of black ink.

The prints look incedible, the black looks like black but there must be a drop of ink in each cartridge becuase it is gone quick.

Love 940XL Black.
XL Black lasts longer than the standard. I prefer the XL over standard HP, but they are all quality products. It is nice to not have to change the black that often.
