Did not perform as advertised
I bought this thinking it would last longer than the smaller cartridge. I got less than 30 printed pages. Office Jet Pro 8500 constantly is cleaning the printheads, etc. using up ink as if it were water.

Good buy.
Although your printer ink is pretty much dictated by your printer, there is a price advantage to buying bundled packages. This one offers an XL black cartridge, and 3 regular cartridges of the colors (cyan, magenta, yellow). They are very easy to install; just slip in the printer slot. The color qualities are extremely good, even for photos.

This is a great product.
We have used this HP printer for 2 years and it has been a money saver. Ink is pricey but we get at least 2 months use on XL printing daily.

Price is right for this product
I work in an office that uses HP Officejet Pro the cartridges are easy to install and have a long cartridge life. No mess, and easy to use.

good product
overall very good; only issue would be price but it is lower price by buying the 4 pack instead of individually. Other issue is the size of box for the 940 is the same as the 920. This is a problem for those not paying attention. (ie me)

We use this HP OfficeJet Pro 8000 everyday. We use colors to print our invoices and purchase orders. The black is used for everyday general document printing. We find the printer to be very functional for our need as the colors come out great. We buy ink on a regular basis, usually we buy the combo packs and extra black cartridges in the XL as that produces more copies ...

Great Product - Too Pricey!
Tried Costco refills, but the HP machine doesn't like them - somehow detects a non-HP ink in cartridges and shows low ink/won't print. I love the 8500A printer, but the ink is expensive in my opinion. Nearly $100 for all four in pack - ouch!

The HP ink cartridges are very easy to use. Just peel the plastic off- remove the old in replace with a new one.

I seem to use a lot of these cartridges, but I think they serve me well because I always get the XL or extended life. I like them for the cleanliness of the replacement and not getting ink all over things and myself as my former cartridges did. The XL is the best value for me.
A helpful Staples salesman alerted me to the XL package. I buy it all the time now and keep a package on hand so I am never without ink. I write the date I replace a cartridge on the box so I have an record of my usage.
The sales people are very knowledgeable and also helped me choose an 8500 series printer that I have never had any problems with.

Good buy
Most of the time I have no problem with the ink cartridges, but the last couple times - the black ink decided it didn't want to work in the middle of an important job. I took it back and they refunded me with a new one but that one also gave me problems. Most of the time they work great though. A great combo!
