Did not perform as advertised
I bought this thinking it would last longer than the smaller cartridge. I got less than 30 printed pages. Office Jet Pro 8500 constantly is cleaning the printheads, etc. using up ink as if it were water.

The ink is awesome but very expensive as are all brands. Price per gallon would be unreal.

Toner for HP printer
HP set up their printer so it only works with HP toner. I'm pretty upset with that.

ink cartridge bled and depleted quickly
Have used this HP printer and "official" HP ink cartridges for about 18 months. Have previously had no trouble with ink cartridges. This time bought a multi-pack of cartridges. It could be better...
Because I primarily print in black, I thought I would actually save money by purchasing a printer that uses 4 separate ink cartridges. With this printer constantly telling me I need to replace a color cartridge before needed along with the inability to print in black at all when a color cartridge runs low - need I explain further?

One stop shopping
The convenience of not having to buy each color seperate but we still every once in a while have to buy an extra black xl. Satisfaction with extra large ink.
The extra large cartriges are best as it is obvious that they last much longer. I don't have to change cartriges as often which is annoying when in the middle of trying to completer a letter.

Seemed like a good value
I didn't realize until I got home that the Colors were not the larger volume ink, just regular. I thought I was getting a great deal, when I probably saved just a few dollars.

Little misrepresented
Advertising emphasizes the XL feature. If you don't pay attention, you don't realize (until you get them) that all colors are not XL cartridges.
