Did not perform as advertised
I bought this thinking it would last longer than the smaller cartridge. I got less than 30 printed pages. Office Jet Pro 8500 constantly is cleaning the printheads, etc. using up ink as if it were water.

I am really tired of buying expensive HP cartridges and they don't last worth a darn. The black didn't work from day one, took it out and shook it, worked for a day and then nothing. This is ridiculous! Go to take it back and they tell me they have to have the box? WHO KEEPS THE BOXES! I have the receipt ppl!!

PRINTS WELL AND EASY TO REPLACE
We love our HP Printer and use it daily for personal and business projects. We do a lot of printing, but we are not getting 2200 pages before it is time to replace the XL cartridge.Last time was only 1900. This is a pretty significant difference, but we will still purchase and use it, because the printer does the job for us.

Best to be prepared!
For a non profit association like ours, we never know when we will print a lot of copies, so it's good to have extra ink on hand.

Not keen on Staples marketing tricks
Nothing wrong with the HP ink. Problem is Staples who sent out a $5 coupon and then wouldn't honor it in the store, telling me I had to use it the next time I came in. There won't be a next time, guys. Apparently I could have used it right away online but had to buy something in person to get them to honor the coupon "next time". That doesn't even make sense.

Their prices have really jumped
When I bought this printer I looked at the prices of the replacement cartridges. The cost then did not seem too bad. I do not print must so 8 months later I got a shock. The prices were now double what they started at. I have been had by HP again. When will I learn.
