Did not perform as advertised
I bought this thinking it would last longer than the smaller cartridge. I got less than 30 printed pages. Office Jet Pro 8500 constantly is cleaning the printheads, etc. using up ink as if it were water.

what choice do I have with this printer?
I have no other choices as long as I own this printer. Printer ink is very expensive and waiting for 'rewards' is very lengthly.

DONT CHANGE CARTRIDGE AT FIRST NOTICE. WAIT UNTIL YOU ACTUALLY NEED A NEW CARTRIDGE. PRINT INK LEVELS TO GET A FEEL FOR TIME LEFT AFTER YOU GET A NOTICE TO CHANGE. TOO EXPENSIVE TO NOT USE ALL THE INK.

Extra single cartridges still required
Cartridge life depends on how you use it....not all cartridges go at once.....so you do end up with extra cartridges....which means buying singles as needed still in play.....

Dn't believe what you read
I never get as many pages out of the cartridges as they claim and it is frustrating when our non-profit organization tries to keep me (secretary for 2450 members) on a tight budget allowance. They believe what the package claims- I have to try and prove them wrong to explain over spending?! I MIGHT recommend these to others- your questions leave no room for explanations...
