Did not perform as advertised
I bought this thinking it would last longer than the smaller cartridge. I got less than 30 printed pages. Office Jet Pro 8500 constantly is cleaning the printheads, etc. using up ink as if it were water.

I bought a second fax/copier that required the same 940 ink just because I was so happy with the results

Too short a life and extremely expensive; typically an HP product support item. It's obvious that they make all their money on printer ink!!

HP combo pack
The package label is misleading. I thouht I was getting an XL combo package. Instead I got one XL and 3 standards. I won't make that mistake again. Back to ABCXYZ for my ink needs!

HP 940XL/940 Combo Pack
I switched from a Brother 9440CN all in one machine (laser) to an HP Officejet Pro 8500A Premium unit
The HP machine was cheaper to buy and is much cheaper to operate than the Brother and performs well.
