Easy Install
These are easy to install cartridges that are not messy; but ready to use. I am on my second HP printer that uses the 940 cartridges and find them the most convenient & relatively inexpensive to use. Ink OK but best ink box so far
The ink is fine. Unfortunately as with other inkjet inks even after the ink drys if you get your document wet (even after a year) the ink will smear. Use for photos is not recommended for anyone who doesn't live in the Sahara desert. On the other hand the ink box is even nicer than the HP02 ink box. Don't judge a book by its cover.
With the exception of the Black cartridge the other cartridges were not full. This was a disappointment considering the cost.

Wonderful box ink is pretty good too
The ink runs if it gets wet even after it initially drys. This makes a problem for photo use--which could smear if made wet even after a few years. On the other hand the box is very nice--so rectangular. It makes me want to collect all the boxes in this series.

Better than buying each separately
The combination could be better if HP had a pack with XL cartridges for the color as well as the black cartridge. The savings would be greater especially if you print color photos of events as I do to send to family and friends. Does such a pack exist?

I would buy this product again and again
The HP ink cartridges have been the easiest to use and produce a great quality. I have been using the 950's the 940's and the 920's and can honestly say that I have never been disappointed with any of the cartridges in any of our printers.
