Love my Sharp EL-1197PIII
I have used one for many years. Now I work part time and the office just moved to a different place where I have my own desk. Bought the new one for at home and took the old one to the office. I just don't like the little hand calculators, and am happy to have the same one to use at both places.

Sharp EL-1197PIII 12-digit desktop calculator
Ordered this same calculator on 8/31/2024 no problem. This calculator has a detachable power cord, but the cord has slits in it as if it is cut. Not the same cord as previous calculator purchased. Cord is much thicker and not detachable. See attached pictures.

Great Machine Replacement Purchase
I spilt some iced tea all over the keys and the top of the machine. It wouldn't work after I turned it upside down and drained the tea out and let the machine dry for two days. My calculator recently died and I ordered the Sharp EL-1197PIII 12-digit Desktop Calculator. It is fantastic. Very smooth operation. I wish I had had this during our recent budget season.

Great Desktop Calculator
I have been using desktop calculators Since 1972 when the CPA firm I was working at bought their first electronic calculator (Victor @ $1,500). This model reminds a lot of it but has more features and a better touch key layout.
