Love my Sharp EL-1197PIII
I have used one for many years. Now I work part time and the office just moved to a different place where I have my own desk. Bought the new one for at home and took the old one to the office. I just don't like the little hand calculators, and am happy to have the same one to use at both places.

Replacement Calculator
This new machine works quieter than my old one, but I think it is slower. Also, I don't like that I cannot see the number on the tape that I just keyed in without being right on top of the machine and looking into it.

Amazing Machine
The adding machine was shipped and I received it the day after ordering. The clarity on the screen is remarkable, the numbers printed on the paper are clear and legible, all functionalities are perfect for multi-function use. I love it!

The calculator work as it should, However, Using the instruction to put on the date & time are very difficult to follow. Aside from that, I would recommend it as

Adding machine
It's easy to use nice size. Have had another one but it STOPPED moving the tape as it should. Too bad it can't be repaired.

It's a desktop calculator
It has some new features I haven't fully explored that my much older Sharp didn't have. I'm sure you know that different companies lay out their keypad differently, so if you're coming from another Sharp or have never used one this will be fine. It will require you to change some habits if you're coming from something like a Canon. This one seems to be a little quieter...

Gets the job done
This hardy machine is easy to key, and lasts a long time. I have two currently; they are my third and fourth of this type of Sharp calculator. My favorite over decades of using various calculator brands & models.
