Love my Sharp EL-1197PIII
I have used one for many years. Now I work part time and the office just moved to a different place where I have my own desk. Bought the new one for at home and took the old one to the office. I just don't like the little hand calculators, and am happy to have the same one to use at both places.

Sharp EL-1197PIII 12-digit desktop calculator
Ordered this same calculator on 8/31/2024 no problem. This calculator has a detachable power cord, but the cord has slits in it as if it is cut. Not the same cord as previous calculator purchased. Cord is much thicker and not detachable. See attached pictures.

I have had this machine prior...finally wore it out. Got another brand that was less expensive but time-wise was more costly. This machine runs smoothly and definitely keeps up with my flying fingers.

Good Desktop Calculator
It works as it should. But the keypad is different from all the other calculators we’ve had and it’s been a challenge to remember that the date/subtotal is on the LEFT side and not the right. I think that Sharp may be the only one that has this change in the keyboard, not sure.
For those who are used to a different configuration, consider the time it takes to re-lear...

Sharp EL-1197PIII 12-Digit Desktop Calculator
I thought the price was too high. I bought it anyway, to replace an old version of this calculator. We have four of them in our small office, and this is the only calculator that we want to use.

Very satisfied
I prefer simple things. This digital calculator replaces a calculator that I have had for about 20 years. I was skeptical about upgrading. This calculator was very easy to adjust to. I recommend it.

I love this adding machine!
I love how much quieter our new adding machine is. This is replacing the same model, which I believe was overworked in a busy office, or it was all gunked up with dust inside. Sometimes it would add, sometimes it wouldn't. Sharp is a great brand, and one I trust for accuracy. We like to cover the machines during long stretches of non-use however I believe the room w...

Great Calculator!
I have been using Sharp calculators for at least 40 years. I love them. The only problem is that just like everything else, everything has been replaced with plastic parts and they do not last as long as they used to. Everything else is just great. Now they only last about 3-4 years. That is a pretty good life span for something used as much as I use it!

Great desk top calculator
It is very good two color ribbon comes with one it was dried out
I had a new ribbon on hand and put it in and yes subtracting is in red and additions in black.

Great calculator
Love it, it is quiet. Have one like this at work and the ribbon lasts a long time and is simple to change. The calculator I’ve used in the past at home has ink rollers and every time I’ve had to get a new calculator it’s because when I change the ink rollers something happens and the calculator quits printing. This is the second one of these I have purchased. It works very well with high usage. Great product for the price. I love it! I am right handed and have no trouble with the key layout.
