Love my Sharp EL-1197PIII
I have used one for many years. Now I work part time and the office just moved to a different place where I have my own desk. Bought the new one for at home and took the old one to the office. I just don't like the little hand calculators, and am happy to have the same one to use at both places.

Replacement Calculator
This new machine works quieter than my old one, but I think it is slower. Also, I don't like that I cannot see the number on the tape that I just keyed in without being right on top of the machine and looking into it.

A must have for my desk!
I use a calculator nearly everyday! I don’t need one that does calculus! This one more closely resembles the old 10 key I had when I started in the field of accounting…. Thank goodness

Sharp Calculator
I don't care for where the total button is on it. It should be where the multiply button is. That is the way all my old and other ones are. Sure different to get used to. :( Would not have bought if I had seen this. Proves I was in a hurry that day. :(

Sharp Calculators are the best!
I have used Sharp calculators for over 30 years. I try to use other brands but the ease of use isn't there. From the functionality to the light touch of the keys make this calculator ideal for the business setting.

The calculator I had was more expensive, had many features, but you had to punch the keys hard to be recognized. This sharp calculator has a light touch and still has all the features the office requires. I recommend!

Sharp EL-1197PIII 12-Digit Desktop Calculator
We have had to be a new one before the year was up. The calculator is user friendly and nicely laid out for use, we like most aspects of it but I would suggest buying the warranty because this is a smaller company and we use things pretty gently on comparison to other companies and this calculator does not stand the test of time.

Could not read the print and requested a replacement
Sorry to say, but the print was way to light and would never work for my eyes. So I requested a replacement which is better, but not great. Something is not quite right with either of them, but I will keep the replacement. Changing ribbons made no difference.
