Love my Sharp EL-1197PIII
I have used one for many years. Now I work part time and the office just moved to a different place where I have my own desk. Bought the new one for at home and took the old one to the office. I just don't like the little hand calculators, and am happy to have the same one to use at both places.

Sharp EL-1197PIII 12-digit desktop calculator
Ordered this same calculator on 8/31/2024 no problem. This calculator has a detachable power cord, but the cord has slits in it as if it is cut. Not the same cord as previous calculator purchased. Cord is much thicker and not detachable. See attached pictures.

Great Sharp Calculator
This is my second Sharp calculator. I bought my first one over twenty years ago and just wore it out. The placement of the function keys are very user friendly. The calculator is quiet. I would buy it again and again.

The calculator is laid out exactly the way I wanted. It is very quiet and prints fast. Has an add mode button button. Makes my personal and business operations easy. Poor quality - DO NOT BUY
I have purchased this calculator many times for a large tax department. I'm not sure what has changed, but the last two that I have purchased have had issues. The Sharp Calculator is used by all office personnel. We have never had an issue with this device or any Sharp device for that matter. Did not work
The decimal point request didn't work. I could not get the cents to show. Neither could the clerk. I returned it to the local store and bought another brand instead (Cannon)

This calculator is a workhorse!
For the money, this calculator is a work horse. I am an accountant and this gets daily hard use. I bought one about five or six years ago and it's still going strong so I bought one for home use.

This calculator works perfectly. It is able to keep up with me as I am clacking away adding up spreadsheets. The two color ink provides quick reference to mistakes and easily points out the debits.

Comfortable to use
I have had several calculators over the years but with this one, the keys are very comfortable for me to use. Very ergonomic. It's quick, quiet and and I love that the arm that holds the tape is metal. It's a very well designed machine.

Sharp EL-1197III
We have used these same Sharp machines in our office for many years with excellent results.However, with constant use over many years even the best of machines wear out. We have found that the "so-called replacement parts" perform very poorly and after a good trial period with some replacement parts, we simply replaced our old Sharp machines with new ones.

Can't live without it!
I really like my new Sharp Adding Maching....it is the same as my old one so no need to learn new tricks! I just plugged it in and went to work! I was pleased that it is much quieter than the old machine.

Works good.
Everything works great on this calculator. The only problem that I have is that I am a quick "typer" and the printing is a little slow. Other than that there are no complaints on my part.
