Love my Sharp EL-1197PIII
I have used one for many years. Now I work part time and the office just moved to a different place where I have my own desk. Bought the new one for at home and took the old one to the office. I just don't like the little hand calculators, and am happy to have the same one to use at both places.

Sharp EL-1197PIII 12-digit desktop calculator
Ordered this same calculator on 8/31/2024 no problem. This calculator has a detachable power cord, but the cord has slits in it as if it is cut. Not the same cord as previous calculator purchased. Cord is much thicker and not detachable. See attached pictures.

Great Calculator
I have been using this calculator for years. I am the accounting department for a small mfg. company. I do accounts payable and receivable, payroll and payroll taxes and all the reports for the accountants. It is easy to use, easy to read and quick. Exactly what I need. Only complaint is that it is a bit bulky, but I have made a spot for it that works.

It's a good buy clear & adequate.
We had bought this item before and the staff is happy with it's clear and adequate capabilities.

Great for work or home
I have this one at home and when needing one at work, purchased the same model.
Using a 10-key daily is part of being an accountant, and this helps with my daily workload.
Like this better than higher-priced models...

Good Machine but buy a separate ribbon.
Used for bookkeeping at work. As always, the adding machine works great. The display is bright, and the keys easy to use. The only gripe I have is that the machine does not come with a full ribbon (which to me is a cheat, especially when you are buying a new machine), nor a full tape.

Not a favorite!!!
Been in accounting my whole life, and I would not recommend this particular calculator to anyone. I should have looked more carefully at this prior to purchasing.

Good Printing Calculator
I had two of these in my office and they both seemed to break at the same time. I do not know why.. one just stopped working and the other - the paper was getting caught and it would not print. The clarity of the print seemed to be affected after some time. I did get a good four years out of both of them, so I went to purchase another and found that this model is still ...
