Fellowes Shredder is Functional
The shredder works OK after 3 weeks of ownership. The one thing that could be better is the smaller capacity of the shredder to hold shredded paper, so it is a pain to empty it more often (although doable). I also bought oil (for the first time) as recommended by the shredder manual; hopefully this will prolong the capability of this shredder. My last shredder lasted...

It's an okay product. Had a fair price and excellent reviews but I needed a heavier viscous oil. It's marketed as if it can do the job but I can't risk a $2000 shredder on "maybe."

Worked pretty well. I don't know if it was just because our shredder really needed 'oiled' that badly issue with the shredder itself or if it just took quite a few applications to get it from overheating/stopping/getting jammed up when trying to shred papers (did less than 5 at a time when shredder said up to 15). It fixed the problem
Our papee shredder machine was in need of oil. The noise was quite bad. After we used the oil the shredder started working smoother noise decibels were so much lower.

Whew! Shredder fixed
I had a bad paper jam. I read that shredder oil would lubricate the mechanism and soften the paper without making it swell. I oiled the paper and surrounding area. Several minutes later I was able to remove the jammed paper. This was a far cheaper solution than buying a new shredder!
