Not nearly as good as the Omega Chalk
Quartet used to make Omega chalk. They have apparently replaced it with Alpha. It is a lighter, lower quality chalk that is harder to erase, wears down more quickly and is more dusty. Note that it is not the worst chalk out there. There are some brands (Crayola colored chalk) where you might as well write on the board with paint. Paint would erase easier.

Bright colors
I can honestly say that in my opinion these are the best color chalk i've used.
Pro: colorful, bright, durable, easy to write with
con; dusty (worth it, doesn't bother me much)

Chalk -- No Longer Easy to Find
First of all, chalk, chalkboards, and erasers are becoming one more 'thing of the past.' There's still something about teaching kids about chalk. Chalk drawing, even having chalk in one hand and the eraser in the other is great fun. Watching little ones learn to clap erasers together to make 'smoke' is delightful.
