To pay extra for these pins the box had been smashed and was missing a lot of the pins. Very disappointed!

Good pins great value
I bought these 1/4 inch pins to use with my stained glass work board. The pins I was using designed for stained glass were too long sticking through the homasote board I use. These are just short enough to not go through the board potentially damaging the surface the work board sits upon.

pros and cons
Pros: 1. The pin length is well over 1/2" more like 5/8". This is hard to find. 2. You can hammer the hell out of them with no breaking. Cons: 1. The shoulder is narrow about 1/8"+ so if you need a wide shoulder don't get these. 2. When I tried to remove ones that I had hammered into some soft wood the heads came off the pin. The pin is embedded less than 1/8" ...

Use for layout
I use these to hold cardboard templates to wood forms for layout on of wood or metal. The aluminum heads are smaller than typical plastic but more durable for tapping with a soft mallet and the steel pins are 1/16 to 1/8th longer than standard plastic 📌 but work well for me.

Just a bit small
The points are 1/2" as advertised - actually measured at just a bit longer at 9/16". The body size is not specified but the shape would make you think they were the same size as the classic plastic pins of the same shape. However the bodies are only maybe 80% of the classic size. This was disappointing. Nonetheless they are serviceable and I would recommend to friend...
