4" Hanging Files
There used to be 4 corner notches inside the bottom of these folders to insert and attach the cardboard piece that creates the base. Now there are only 2 circle flaps that really don't hold the insert very well and the folder will not hold it's shape. I've found that if I tape the cardboard insert into the bottom of the folder it holds up very well. I removed one star b...

Good Size for light files
Great size for expanding files in cabinets however I did have to add shipping tape to a few of them to help prevent tearing from the metal brackets. Perhaps our files are heavier than the normal and we should order 3" for our usage. Pendaflex is a good brand and we have purchased them many times for our office.

They are hanging folders, they do the job
We file payment information by the month and needed something wider than a standard hanging file folder. These work well and are strong enough to support the weight of 4 inches of paper. I would recommend them.

This is a well made, sturdy folder! We use these daily, adding and taking out bundles of papers and they hold up well. No undoing of the hanging bar seam like other brands do
