It's an ink cartridge like all the others I've bought for the printer. I am grateful to Staples for continuing to stock it even though the printer is far from new. It's a very reliable printer, and the cartridges are long-lasting.

Great product. Used in a business office every day. Older model printer, but have only had to replace drum & cartridge once every 2 years. Still better quality than the newer ones & lasts way longer.
