retractble is the way to go!!
Loved the retractable Sharpies. they don't seem to dry out nearly as fast as the snap-on cap and so easy to retract when through for even a second. Loved the ease and consistant ink output

DRY
I had to return them as they were dry as the Mohave desert.

Work as designed
They simply work as designed. You don't have to worry where you left the cap, because they are retractable.

Good
The dry out faster than sharpies with regular caps. At our business we use them all the time and it's easier to have these than to keep track of a cap.

sharpie retractable permanent markers are great!
I use these markers to write on uneven surfaces and it needs to dry quickly. It does not smear and I love that it is like a pen. I do not have to take off the cap and it does not dry out.
