Couldn’t figure out how to use it.
I used to have a TI-84 and I liked it a lot. I gave it to my daughter. I thought I would try a TI-89 thinking it would have more capabilities. But I couldn’t figure out how to do even simple things on it. I tried reading the directions but it didn’t help. And not only that, the display was too small and difficult to read. Love it for ODEs on the Go!
Very helpful with ordinary differential equations and integrodifferential equations. Love the 3-D graphing of saddle point optimization for determining equilibrium points of a system.

A necessary tool for research.
