VERY DISAPPOINTED
If you are looking for a mat that will have a stable surface over a deep pile carpet, I highly suggest that you look somewhere else because after much time studying the catalog Staples offers, this was the best I could identify and it is inadequate.

Better Replacement
I purchased a plastic carpet mat plus a desk and wheeled chair from Staples in 2006. Desk and chair still in good shape. Mat held up well. but finally succumbed to age and wear as all things must; it hardened and cracked. Carpet chair mat works well. A little disappointed the delivery person left an unboxed mat propped up in front of my garage door. It fell down so I almost backed over it. 😔

Nice mat, but I chose the wrong one
This mat is nice, but not heavy duty enough for what I needed. I should have gotten one for medium pile carpets. It is purely my own mistake. The lesson is to be sure about what you need before placing your order.

They need to figure out how to put the packing slip on without super duty glue. The label for the product peels right off. The packing slip on the 8 I ordered did not.

Not very sturdy and moves around
My chair wheels seem to easily form divets in the mat, which they then get stuck in. Furthermore, it seems the mat easily moves around, which is frustrating. I may be buying another mat from somewhere else, unfortunately.

My last chair mat lasted a couple of years but this is much strudier and should last a long time. I have berber style carpet in my office and this works great.
