VERY DISAPPOINTED
If you are looking for a mat that will have a stable surface over a deep pile carpet, I highly suggest that you look somewhere else because after much time studying the catalog Staples offers, this was the best I could identify and it is inadequate.

Works as expected
The material is not as thick as my old one, so you do see indentations from the wheels of my chair when I sit too long. However, it does do the job and stays in place.

Soft Plastic
The delivery was as promised, and I was not bothered that there was no packaging. I put the mat in my home office with medium pile carpet. Chair wheels cause indents in the mat and the mat slides about 2" after a days' use.

Great size, great features!
This mat is a great size for my big desk chair. It is not as rigid as other mats, has ramped edges and provides great support for my 210 pounds plus heavy chair. The chair rolls easily, and if the chair comes off the mat, it ramps back on without catching on the edge of the mat. This mat is much better than the one it has replaced.

Carpet chair mat application
Having purchased the thinner mat previously which only lasted a couple months, this mat seams to be more of the “medium” grade quality and should outlast the thinner product by several months.
This mat is of great quality and considering the total combined weight of user and chair is approximately 200 lbs, it appears to have great lifespan potential.

Cracking
Began cracking at 6 months, continued to worsen until it was unusable at 9 months. Shortest-lived mat I've ever had, by far. Will not buy one of these from Staples again. With their return policy, I'm stuck with the loss.

Soft Plastic & Scratched
If I didn't need a mat right now to cover my carpet this would go back. I only weigh 105 and when I step on it, there are indentations. My chair is already indenting the mat. I had the smaller version previously, and it was nothing like this. In addition, it was delivered scratched in no packaging, in a lump in my garage. Who ships a scratchable mat, with no packaging....

Got strung along and dumped
I ordered an office chair floor mat and was notified that delivery would be next day. For the next five business days, I recievd notification that the delivery was delayed and it would be delivered the next day. I was being patient. On the fifith day of no delivery, I was notifed my order was cancelled and I would get a refund.

Average Chair Mat
While this appears this will do the job, the material is not terribly thick or sturdy. Even on very little carpeting, the mat gets sunken in from sitting in the chair and I'm not a huge guy.

Carpet chair mat
Great product but It arrived filthy! Had no protective package and had dirty footprints on the surface. Wiped the surface down, put down on my carpet to find the warehouse soot embedded on the bottom was now all over my carpet. Had to wash the carpet, then take the mat into the tub/shower and scrub it before using.
