Expiration before used
I found that the cartridge has an expiration date. Because of the expiration date the printer will not work. Brand new cartridge will not work. So if you purchase back up cartridges, they may not work when you go to use them.
HP does not advertise this or notify you about this until it is too late.
It is cheaper to buy a new copier with cartridges than to replace all 6 ...

Does it's job
...bought 3 colors (buy 2 get 1 free sale!)...have found thru trial and error that , for me, hp ink works best in hp printers.

I don't have anything to compare it to. The colors do run if they get wet, which is disappointing. Many of my pictures have been lost.

Defective- my printer didn't read it
This was the first time that my printer was not reading an ink head. I put this new one in and my printer won't print in color because it is not reading this ink replacement as being full and keeps saying it is empty. I had to troubleshoot with HP for over an hour and they finally sent me a replacement ink cartridge.
