Expiration before used
I found that the cartridge has an expiration date. Because of the expiration date the printer will not work. Brand new cartridge will not work. So if you purchase back up cartridges, they may not work when you go to use them.
HP does not advertise this or notify you about this until it is too late.
It is cheaper to buy a new copier with cartridges than to replace all 6 ...

Shoud not expire, just suggest best used by date
Do not like the fact that the ink expires, and is unuseable after 1.5 years, even though there may be ink remaining . This is not green and promotes discarding before the product is fully used.

HP INK CARTRIDGE
My computer keeps notifying me that these cartridges are out of date ( expired ) only a short after I buy them. It appears you are selling old old stock and they expire shortly after being purchased. OR as a friend suggested you are selling rebuilt/refilled cartridges and that is why they expire so quickly.

Worth the Money
I have complete faith in the HP ink cartridges. I learned the hard way several years ago that I don't save any money buying generic brands of printer ink.

Long-lasting?????
I don't do a lot of printing and when I do, I mostly use draft mode. Even so, it seems I just replace a cartridge and within a day or two the software shows a large amount of ink has been used. For the price consumers pay, we should get more copies out of a cartridge. Since this is the ink used in my printer (which I LOVE), I have not alternative but to purchase these c...

Love this printer and cartridges
This printer is awesome. Would buy it again and again...easy switch out of cartridges. You can buy one color at a time to replace or for a discount buy a package of all colors. I buy one at a time since I seem to run out of certain colors.

Check expiration dates before purchasing
Staples 'on the shelf' security packaging obscures the expiration date printed on the bottom of the cartridge package. I had to replace
this half-full cartridge because it had expired and, allegedly, continued use could result in damage to the printer.
