Expiration before used
I found that the cartridge has an expiration date. Because of the expiration date the printer will not work. Brand new cartridge will not work. So if you purchase back up cartridges, they may not work when you go to use them.
HP does not advertise this or notify you about this until it is too late.
It is cheaper to buy a new copier with cartridges than to replace all 6 ...

Won't use a substitute
I never use imposters. Price is high but its great ink so I plan by using Staples rebates and I return empty cartridges to greatly reduce cost.

one expired cartridge, no printer
I can't stand that these cartridges will shut down the entire printer if they are past the expiration date....My printer is so old, that the "void the warranty" BS is irrelevant. We don't need a printer ink baby sitter.
