Expiration before used
I found that the cartridge has an expiration date. Because of the expiration date the printer will not work. Brand new cartridge will not work. So if you purchase back up cartridges, they may not work when you go to use them.
HP does not advertise this or notify you about this until it is too late.
It is cheaper to buy a new copier with cartridges than to replace all 6 ...

Use it for copies for staff and meeting agendas and minutes.
May not print 400 copies in a year usisng color, but the c artridge expires? What's the reason?

Easy to use, but costs alot.
thought buying the 5 color pack would be cheaper and easier, but they don't get used at the same rate. some last twice as long as the others so we always end up with extra cartridges of those two colors.

How much ink, for real?
We print 10,000 photos a year at work. We are extremely disappointed that packaging no longer tells how much ink actually is in each cartridge. Even when hp used to print it, the cartridges were not filled to full, only to what the average percentage of assumed colors needed. Cartridges ranged from 3.3 ml to 6 ml. I've never printed colored photos with my printer, so I can't rate the quality of the printer.
I do have a question: If I ALWAYS print out in Black ink only, WHY am I constantly replacing the colored ink cartridges?????
