Expiration before used
I found that the cartridge has an expiration date. Because of the expiration date the printer will not work. Brand new cartridge will not work. So if you purchase back up cartridges, they may not work when you go to use them.
HP does not advertise this or notify you about this until it is too late.
It is cheaper to buy a new copier with cartridges than to replace all 6 ...

GOOD INK
I use this product mainly for photos which works out great because that is what the printer is designed for. It does great on all other documents as well.

The cartridges seem to run out very rapidly but they can only hold so much ink, so I guess this is what they are supposed to do.

Just a color ink cartridge
I do not like staples new system for giving a $3 rebate if I bring the old cartridge in. If I buy a new cartridge, Staples should deduct the $3 at the cash register when I give you the empty.

Cyan color ink runs out frequently
It seems that cyan runs out more frequently than other colors. I appreciate buying it separately for this reason.

I will always buy my ink from Staples.
I use this ink to print manufacturer's coupons to use at local retailers and the quality is perfect. The UPC prints out so legible, there is no trouble scanning them just like they are intended. Thank you so much.

I always buy HP ink
I have had HP printers for over 10 years and always use HP ink cartridges. The quality is good and the pricing is fair. Sometimes there are extra bonuses with ink purchases--$off, free copy paper or photograph paper.

Buy ink cartridges separately.
Buying ink cartridges as a "value pack" seems to be a waste. The cartridges are smaller and some colors need replacement sooner than others so for example I have several pink cartridges on hand. Buying them individaully just before they run out works better for me.
