Great product
I received these in time to write out my Christmas cards. They worked well and were easy for these old hands to grip. And I also love them for all my crosswords puzzles. Easy to erase my mistakes. Like the clear barrel on them as well so you can see how much lead is left.

Not so Mechanical
I bought this because I needed to do some planning via drawing on paper my plans for a special table I was using a metal ruler for my straight lines and the lead kept breaking :-(. Not good

A sturdy mechanical pencil
Finally a mechanical pencil that writes dark enough to see. When you press on paper to write, the lead does not break, an experience I've had with a competitor.
One annoying thing is when you use the eraser, it slips back into the pencil body. Overall I'm enjoying it.

Love it
This is a great mechanical pencil (next to a drafting pencil). Probably the best on the market. The only draw back is the eraser; it tends to retract when using so I suggest using a separate eraser.

Fair to middling quality
I've purchased/used several of these. The pads/cushions where your finger tips rest wear off, and the erasers tend to recess when used, as the screw mechanism turns too easily. On my most recent pencil, the small conical section from which lead protrudes often retracted, although the lead did not, so lead frequently broke. I saved the eraser and tossed the pencil.

My junior in high school prefers this style of mechanical pencil over all others. She likes the variety of colors, and the stability and durability of this brand. The cheaper ones break a lot. These last more than one school year, if she doesn't lose it.
