Flimsy
The binding is not "great for note-taking in class or at home" because it's too flimsy and has barely more stiffness than paper. The rule is too wide and the paper too thin to write effectively on both sides. The colors are good.

If you didn't want to spend a lot of time (or money) in stores shopping for back-to-school, this deal at Staples is a good thing. Although you are limited to 2 items, every little bit helps, and the price is hard to beat. These are good quality notebooks perfect for a variety of uses.
